This is our top-of-the-line in-wall system. It combines our 1-inch aluminum-dome, swivel-mount tweeter with two 6.5-inch polypropylene-cone, rubber-surround woofers, both of which operate at low frequencies while one also goes up into the midrange. The neodymium-magnet tweeter is mounted coaxially on one of the woofers. The system's two woofers provide excellent bass, exceeding the impact of the 8-inch woofer in slimmer, easier-to-install design. And at the same time, the system's 2-1/2-way design, also used in our Stratus Silver and Bronze floorstanding speakers, offers a smooth transition to the pristine midrange of a single driver, avoiding the interference effects that sometimes are produced by dual woofers when both operate at mid-frequencies. This system combines one 6.5-inch polypropylene-cone, rubber-surround woofer and 1-inch swivel-mount aluminum-dome tweeter in a two-way design. Both of the drivers are the same as those in the M6x6.1, with the tweeter mounted separately on the baffle rather than coaxially. Like its more expensive companion, it offers front-mounted, heavy-duty equalization switches to tailor response for system layout, your seating location, and your own preferences.
